Foundations. …..

Every building has a foundation, the beginning of the rise….. The foundation is just as crucial and important as the building itself. If you lay the foundation of a bungalow ,and build a 2 storey building on it, such a person is obviously looking for a ‘Humpty Dumpty’ crash. The sad part is, you may not be alerted when the crash will come, which definitely will cause more harm than imagined.
This brings me to think of this in the business and career lane. What kind of foundation have you built or are you building? What do you intend putting on that foundation? Many people kick off a course of a lifetime on the foundation of 2-year course lifeline, and they still expect a lifetime achievement, it doesn’t work like that.
We have many failing businesses today because the vision in the beginning changed in the course of the journey and they didn’t bother adding to the strength of the base to make the survival rate and achievement rate stronger.
For example in my fashion field, I smile when I see someone who’s only done a basic training in sewing putting up signs to sew advaced and professional designs, worse still, to be training others….. Where is the place of Excellence?
Major reason why we have many shops today offering same services, yet people still go outside and everywhere to look for the good ones. You do yourself no good if you put your business on a line you don’t understand well, that’s failing from the start.
Start well and before you put another storey on your building, add to your base, and keep adding to it. That’s the only way you can survive and stand for a long time.
Before you pick up jobs you must be 190% sure you can do it with eyes closed.
Never start something because you see someone succeeding in it, you are different. Your line of success is different. How many people have lost their success route today just because they followed the line of someone else’s Success, and missed theirs.
I still get many people asking me why I started a fashion school, my reply is the same, because my line of success lies in the number of lives I can impact and influence positively. Of course I wish I could retain the tailoring, sewing, designing and styling lane only, (it of course fetches more money) But what of fulfillment? Now if anyone who doesn’t have the same vision follows my path, definitely time tells the strength of that structure.
Ensure you walk the path assigned to you, that’s where your own success lies. And be a master on that field, that’s the only way to stand out.
A wise man builds his house upon a rock…….. then rain and storm comes, but the house remains standing firm.
